FAQ – Frequently asked questions
Where do I buy tickets?
Online at storyoflights.eu — cheaper than at the box office, straight away and with no queuing.
Can I bring my dog?
In most parks yes — on a lead and muzzled, please bring waste bags. Exceptions: Ostrava and Szolnok admit assistance dogs only; Gödöllő and Fertőd do not allow dogs. Guide and assistance dogs are always admitted free of charge and without a muzzle.
Is photography allowed?
Yes – photos and videos for your own use are welcome. Please do not use flash at the installations and keep the route moving. Tripods, selfie sticks and professional equipment only with the organiser's consent; some venues do not allow them at all – see the visitor rules for details.
What are the opening hours?
Opening hours and closing days differ from park to park — you will find the current ones on each park's page. Last entry is usually half an hour before closing.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes — the parks are made for families. Children aged 2 and under enter free, ages 3–14 pay the reduced fare, and family tickets pay off from two children. The routes are pram-friendly.
What are the decorations made of?
We design and make them in DECOLED's own workshops in the Czech Republic: welded metal frames, light tubes and thousands of hand-fitted LEDs. Every sculpture is made for its park and season.
Doesn't the park use a lot of electricity?
All decorations are lit with LEDs, which use only a fraction of the energy of conventional bulbs.
